In 1997, Arizona became the 48th state to join the 50-year-old network of the National Council on Economic Education. This network of state Councils and over 275 college/university-based Centers for Economic Education is the premier source of teacher training and materials used to instill an understanding of economic principles for grades kindergarten through 12.

Mission Statement: Our mission is to help Arizona students develop economic ways of thinking and problem solving that they can use in their lives as knowledgeable consumers, savers and investors, productive members of the workforce, responsible citizens, and informed participants in a global economy.
